Introducing San Pablo

San Pablo is really an iMessage collaboration between Kristine and I. When Kristine suggested I design a cowl in Pioneer, my mind went in a million directions at once. So many colors! Kristine suggested I mix tonal coordinates with one of the natural, un-dyed colors, and I was off.
So, here it is: a garter stitch cowl! No big deal, right? Well, I knit it on the bias for extra drape and deeper stripes. I couldn’t resist getting just a little fussy with invisible finishing and progressive striping, for the perfect look. Because on San Pablo Avenue, we believe even the simplest job should be done right.
We’re celebrating Pioneer’s release by offering the San Pablo pattern free as part of a kit. The kits are available in the shop and online. I still love the original, creamsicle-orange combination, but we’ve devised a couple other beautiful colorways as well. Which one will you knit? -HD
