Colette's released a gorgeous new pattern, and we invite you to enter their Sew-Along and Contest, and make Hawthorn here at the shop with us.
Hawthorn is a lovely, curve-hugging shirtdress. The pattern includes several different sleeve variations, plus an option to make a blouse, as well as a dress. If you'd love to make your own Hawthorn, and you're an average sewist who needs a little guidance, we have some great options for you.
Jessie, our fabulous sewing instructor, will be demonstrating the making of Hawthorn by sewing a store sample in our gallery. You can come and observe, and hear tips and great advice from Jessie as she stitches. Participation is free when you buy your fabric and pattern here in the shop! This great demo will take place on July 13th and 20th, and will be followed by a Hawthorn Sew-Along on July 27th. Confident sewists can head straight to the Sew-Along, to make their own Hawthorn with a fun group of people, use our studio, and have access to Jessie for questions. We highly recommend enrolling in both the demo, and the sew-along, to make the most of our great studio space, and Jessie's instruction.
