Inspired by the motifs found upon the Khatri Indian tradition of red and blue block-printed ajrakh cloths, Kristine Vejar designed the Constellation Bandana project that was featured in Making No. 1!

Ajrakh cloth is made by block printing and naturally dyeing cloth with indigo and madder, and can be used in a variety of ways. In India you'll see them worn as turbans, scarves, or as a floor covering to sit upon while eating. We have put together a kit with a versatile cotton bandana and beautifully colored embroidery floss so you can create your own pretty wrap. You could wear it as a bandana, or as a wrapping cloth for gift giving.

Inside this kit:
+ One naturally dyed 100% cotton bandana
+ Six skeins of naturally dyed 100% cotton embroidery floss
To complete project, you will need:
    Scissors
    + Fabric marking pencil
    + Ruler
    + Embroidery needle
    + Making No. 1 / Flora
