Learn to sew Colette's adorable pattern Violet in the fabric of your choice. Learn tricks and techniques and to create a garment
you’ll be proud to wear. With two portions to the class, you can customize your comfort level by taking them separate or together!
In the cutting portion of the class you will learn to (2 hours / $30):
11:30-1:30pm
- Read a pattern
- Measure your body
- Decide which size to create
- Cut out your pattern
- Cut out your fabric
- Accurately transfer all markings
In the sewing portion of the class you will learn to (2.75 hours / $45):
2-4:45pm
- Sew durable seams to make a long lasting garment
- Make buttonholes
- Create facings
- Tips and tricks for making future garments
- Pockets, piping and other embellishments will be discussed
What to bring to class (materials available for purchase at Verb):

Sewing Machine
- Colette Pattern Violet
- 100% Cotton Fabric- pre-washed & ironed, yardage per pattern requirements for your chosen size
- Notions per pattern- interfacing, buttons, snaps, bias tape, or elastic
- Coordinating cotton thread
- miscellaneous notions as desired - fabric marker or chalk, tape measure, pins, fabric shears, hand sewing needle, etc.
Required skills: This class is best for the intermediate beginner. You’ll need to be confident working your sewing machine.
