Valerie, a California native, is inspired by the trees, the mountains, the beach, the way the earth smells just after it rains. Heavily influenced by the many crafty women in her life, she has always been interested in 'making' and branched into spinning in 2011. She quickly picked up the skill while living in Southern California, earning Best of Division at the 2011 San Diego County Fair for her spindle-spun yarn. Talented on both the wheel and spindles, a sampling of her work can be viewed on Ravelry under vyep.
