Intermediate Tapestry Weaving 102: Techniques with Ama Wertz - October 29th

In this class you will continue learning tapestry weaving, building on the foundational skills from Tapestry 101. Take your weaving to the next level in this class designed to expand your skills library. You'll learn how to blend colors for an ombre effect and build shapes using "pick and pick" and hatching techniques. We'll also cover new finishing skills to give your pieces a more polished, professional look.
This is a wonderful opportunity to learn from Bay Area weaver Ama Wertz! She will bring in plenty of samples of her own work and her favorite resources.
Students should have previously taken Tapestry 101 or another basic weaving class. Students should be able to warp their own looms and work in plain weave. If you have any questions about the skill level to take this class please call the store.

*Please come to class with your looms already warped at 4 inches wide. Your looms should be at least 9 inches high to complete this project.

Bio: Ama Wertz is a weaver, teacher, & explorer, endlessly curious about fiber, with a passion for local elements and building textile communities. She gets inspired by mountain adventures, passages in books, portraiture, and botanical color. Weaving is her conduit to the natural world.
