Sew the Stowe Bag Kit
Our Stowe Bag sewing kit uses one of our our favorite fabrics. The cotton used to make the fabric in this kit was grown in the Southwest and milled in Japan. Fun fact! Cotton used to grown in a many natural colors - like the rusty red used in the weft of this fabric. We resist-dyed this fabric with natural indigo in our Oakland studio. Inspired by the Japanese tradition of sashiko and boro, we think the Stowe Bag is the perfect pattern to use these special fabrics and techniques. And a great way to personalize this sewing pattern.
The Stowe Bag pattern comes in two sizes, which are both included in the paper pattern. Each kit has enough fabric to create the bias binding and the bag size of your choice (small or large). The finished bags pictured are the small size.
There are three color ways to choose from: midnight blue, blue, or sand. In addition to the colorway you select, each kit contains 2 indigo dyed pieces of fabric.
