Sarah Sweater by Cocoknits, featuring AVFKW Horizon yarn, is a perfect in-between seasons jacket - just right for cool days in lieu of a coat. The half-fisherman rib is not quite as condensed as full fisherman rib, resulting in a lofty, slightly puffy fabric. Dramatic angled, drop-shoulders and oversized pockets make Sarah fun to knit and even more fun to wear!

Finished Measurements:
Bust (closed): 51 (55, 58.75, 62.75, 65, 71)” / 127.5 (137.5, 147, 157, 162.5, 177.5) cm, after blocking
Length: 22 (23.5, 25, 26.5, 28, 30)” / 56 (60, 63.5, 67.5, 71, 76) cm, after blocking

Sizes: Small (Medium, Large, 1X, 2X, 3X)

Yarn: A Verb for Keeping Warm Horizon 100% organic California Merino; 160 yds / 128 m per 1.76 oz / 50 g skein; 9 (10, 11, 12, 12, 13) skeins in Tree Fort

Sample size is medium in colorway Tree Fort. If you would like another colorway, please see our full palette here.

Knitting Needles (Change needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge):
+ US 6 / 4 mm (or size needed to obtain gauge) circular needle 40" / 100 cm or longer, circ cord
+ US 5 / 3.75 mm (or size needed to obtain gauge) circular needle 32"/ 80 cm to work magic loop on sleeves, or dpn’s
+ US 0–2 / 2–2.25 mm circular or long DPN for Jeny's stretchy BO and picking up sts.

Notions
+ Colorful ring stitch markers (2 red, 2 orange, 4 blue)
+ A couple of general stitch markers, color not important
+ 8 opening stitch markers (to hang in a stitch rather than on the needle)
+ 4 one-inch buttons
+ Tapestry needle

Gauge:
14 sts and 33 rows / rnds in 4” / 10 cm square over Half Fisherman Rib (HFR) and US 6 / 4 mm needle.

NOTE: It is important that you knit and wet-block your swatch because the Half Fisherman Rib fabric can change drastically when blocked. You will knit to your blocked gauge, which may differ from your un-blocked gauge.

Cocoknits Sweater Workshop book:
This pattern uses a modified Cocoknits Method, with the shoulder join dropped to the back. The sleeves, however, are picked up and knitted down from the armhole opening rather than as a seamless yoke. Although this pattern features the signature Cocoknits English tailoring with the front/back join pushed to the back, Sarah does not require the Cocoknits Worksheet. The Cocoknits Sweater Workshop book is recommended but not required.

This bundle includes:
9-13 skeins of A Verb for Keeping Warm yarn (see sizing info above)

This bundle does NOT include the pattern. For a paper pattern, please click here. For a digital pattern, please visit Cocoknits. Thank you!
