Huston Textiles - Union Cloth

Huston Textile Company uses vintage American-made looms and raw materials sourced from the United States. They are located in Northern California.

This cloth is a twill weave, with wool as the warp and cotton as the weft. This fabric joins our growing collection of US-based fabrics. The wool, used comes from Lani Estill's farm located in Northern California. This wool is called climate beneficial because Lani is actively working to sequester carbon to help offset global warming. The cotton is organic and grown in West Texas.

This fabric is loomstate. This means it has come straight from the loom and has not been finished. Before using the cloth, it is important to pre-wash it. To wash it, either wash by hand in cool water, or wash in cool water on a gentle cycle. Air dry.

This fabric would make a beautiful Prism Dress or modify the Prism Dress into a Prism coat. It is a medium weight fabric, making it versatile, and a great choice for a wide number of projects - anything from garments to home goods.

Fun fact: The wool used in our Gather line of yarn is grown by sheep on Lani's farm. Buy this fabric to make a dress, and Gather yarn to make a sweater, and you will have an outfit made from U.S. grown and milled materials! Hooray!
