AVFKW x Junko Okamoto - The Setting Sun Shawl Kit

We are enormous fans of Junko Okamoto's work at Verb. From her playful colorwork motifs to her oversized silhouettes, Junko is always coming up with something we've never seen before - and we always know we'll love it!

Junko originally wrote this sweet shawl pattern for our Proverbial Club, for our sock blank naturally-dyed yarn, Washi. Recently she re-worked the pattern for our DK weight farm yarn, Horizon and we loved the way it turned out. The brioche stitch she used created a squishy and dense fabric - perfect for layering in cooler weather. Due to its simple yet iconic shape, this is a great opportunity to try brioche knitting!

Junko used Quill for her version knit with Horizon. We are sold out of Quill, and recommend Nest as a replacement. Nest is similar to Quill in that it is a marled color: one ply is made from dark brown wool and one from medium brown wool.

Kit includes:
+ 3 skeins of A Verb for Keeping Warm Horizon yarn in colorway Nest

If you would like to knit this out of a different color of Horizon, please click here.

Please note that the pattern is not included in the kit, please purchase the pattern directly from Junko Okamoto
