AVFKW x Amy van de Laar - Xerophyte Shawl Kit

Xerophyte Shawl by Amy van de Laar // featuring AVFKW Floating

Xerophyte is a crescent-shaped dotted with mini-bobbles and edged with a ribbed border. The shawl's textures and gently scalloped border contrast soft rounded shapes with crisp geometry, and echo the prickle-studded lobes of prickly pear cacti. Xerophyte takes its name from the class of plants adapted to conserve or store water, which includes cacti and succulent.

Knit using two skeins of Floating, this is a nicely sized shawl. The crescent shape allows this shawl to effortlessly drape around your neck and shoulders. Floating, a blend of alpaca, cashmere, and silk is our softest yarn and offers excellent drape. Every stitch is a luxury to knit.

Xerophyte as shown in Making was knit in the colorway Lamb's Ear, a light sage green color evoking the flora of the desert. This gentle, nuanced color allows the subtle arcing lines and bobbles to take center stage. If you are interested in another color, please click here to see the full line-up of Floating.
