100% pure California beeswax

We are so happy to have found pure beeswax from Northern California hives. And the smell is divine!

Beeswax is traditionally used by tailors to strengthen thread when hand sewing buttonholes. Keep a cube of it by the sewing machine and pull your thread across it a couple of times before snipping off the thread end and it will be as easy as pie to get the stiff neat end through the machine needle. Apply this same technique to your embroidery floss, and threading your needle will be so much easier.

Make your own beeswax wrap by combining this beeswax with a cotton fat quarter.

Melt the shredded beeswax to create batik fabrics as taught in Journeys in Natural Dyeing.

Shredded beeswax is sold by the ounce.
