We are so excited for this newly released yarn by Biches & Buches! It is the finest blend of 28% silk and 72% kid mohair from Italy and is available in 7 different shades. This unique yarn is a dk weight and would be great for shawls, hats and sweaters. They've also just released another silk mohair in a light fingering weight, Le Petit Silk & Mohair!
Biches is a family-owned fiber mill in Scotland. When starting to think about a woolen company, Astrid was in search of the yarn she wanted to knit her designs with and offer in the shop. She was looking for something rustic, that reminds her of her trip to norway in 1995, discovering the pure wool from their Norwegian sheep, as well as her Scandinavian roots, a yarn that would make a sturdy sweater, to be worn through the years. and that rustic yarn would have to be blended with a soft feeling, that felt good knitting with, and of course, that felt good wearing. Biches & Buches describes their yarn as "A beautiful quality, presented in a way that feels like home." Exactly.

Please note the fiber content of the yarn you are working with, and follow the applicable instructions:
Cotton or linen - Machine washable on cool cycle with pH neutral soap. Lay flat to dry.
Superwash Wool - Machine washable on cool cycle with pH neutral soap, though hand wash recommended. Lay flat to dry.
Wool and Wool blends - Handwash only in lukewarm water with pH neutral soap. Lay flat to dry.
Yarn can be exchanged within 45 days from when we contact you to pick it up (for curbside pickup) or from the day that we ship it for store credit only (less any shipping costs) as long as it is in its original condition (ball band in place). After this time period, yarn can no longer be returned. The buyer is responsible for all shipping charges. Yarn that has been purchased on sale or as part of the Pro-Verbial Yarn and Fiber Club is a final sale and cannot be cancelled, exchanged for store credit, or returned for a refund.

Packages ship Tuesday through Saturday via USPS. Once shipped, you will receive a confirmation email and tracking number. Please use the tracking number provided and contact the shipping carrier directly with any questions about transit and delivery.
Please select the insured option at checkout to ensure compensation for a lost package. Once the package has been picked up by the shipping carrier, we are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged packages. We do not offer refunds or credits for lost or stolen packages.
If you select an insured option and need to file a claim with USPS, we will provide you with any documentation needed to complete your claim. Packages are insured for the order total. If your package is stolen, you will need to contact your credit card company to receive any possible compensation.

All international orders are shipped uninsured USPS First Class Parcel Post. We are not responsible for packages which are held in customs or lost. International orders may incur customs fees. We are not responsible for fees you may incur. International shipments can take two months to reach their destination. We caution against placing an order if you live outside the United States. At this time, we are unable to ship to the United Kingdom due to the complicated VAT situation.
To pick-up your order at our shop, when checking-out, under shipping method, choose Pick up at our Oakland store - 6328 San Pablo Ave.
You will receive an email when your order is ready. Orders placed Tuesday-Saturday are typically ready within 2-3 hours. To pick-up your order, come to the shop between 11am-3pm, Tuesday-Saturday. Knock on the front door and give us your name.
Preorders ship on the date listed on the product’s webpage. If you ordered additional items, all items will be shipped with your preorder. If you would like those items shipped separately, please place two separate orders.
