Botanical Ink Making Workshop with Judi Pettite: Coming Soon!
Instructor: Judi Pettite
Local artist Judi Pettite has created a series of inks from plants and fungi for her BioHue Botanical Ink line - they can be used to write with, or as watercolor paint. In this class Judi will teach you how to create your own paint and ink from a variety of plants. We will cover basic tools, techniques and properties of water-based media and its effective use as an art medium.
Students may bring a sketchbook, favorite brush, pencil, and apron or old shirt.

Bio: Judi Pettite, MA, MFA is a visual artist with an extensive background in painting, drawing and printmaking. She started BioHue, in 2007 to research and develop effective and sustainable artist materials. Pettite teaches a range of natural pigment based classes throughout the bay area as well as studio art and art history at Berkeley City College and Los Medanos College.
