Botanical Watercolor Cake Workshop with Judi Pettite - April 9th
Instructor: Judi Pettite
Local artist Judi Pettite has created a series of artists materials from plants and fungi for her BioHue Botanical Ink line - they can be used to write with, or as watercolor paint.
Learn how to make your own cakes, of the watercolor variety!
Join us for a day of making portable watercolors. We will be using plant and earth pigments to make watercolor cakes for use in all your art projects. You will learn the basics of pigment and binder blending using a muller and glass plate. Working with a partner, each participant will leave with 5 half pan watercolor cakes and the knowledge how to make these using extracts, ready-made pigments or your own foraged supplies.
Come with a sketchbook and snack! All supplies included.
Dates: Sunday, April 9th
Time: 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm
