Cocoknits European Finishing Class: June 24
Take your home-made project to a hand-made project in this comprehensive finishing class.
Julie learned to knit in Europe and owned a ready-to-wear sweater company in the 80’s. And she hasn't stopped knitting since! In this class, you will learn tips and techniques that she picked up along the way.
You will learn the basics like:
+ selvedge stitches
And special techniques like:
+ provisional cast-on with a second circular needle
+ using a yarn over or safety-pin (Japanese method) for short row shaping
+ binding off neatly in the middle of a row (for a neckline)
+ bias bind off for multiple bind-offs
+ neatly picking up stitches along a button-band or neckline
After this class, you will be finishing like a pro.
Materials: Bring a couple of working swatches, about 20 stitches wide with couple of inches stockinette stitch knitted on US 6 or larger needles.
