Dropcloth Samplers - Pincushion Sampler

Dropcloth Samplers - Pincushion Sampler

When we came across this adorable pincushion sampler by Rebecca Ringquist of Dropcloth Samplers, we couldn't resist. So. Cute. One can never have too many pincushions. And they make great gifts for your favorite sewing friends.

The Pincushion Sampler (8" x 10") makes two pincushions. The instructions for this sampler focus on sewing the pincushion rather than the embroidery stitches, so we advise this project for a confident, creative beginner who will dive in and experiment, or for the intermediate embroider who knows their way around running, chain, and back stitches.

Rebecca Ringquist, a Portland-based artist, has created a series of pre-printed (with permanent ink) samplers inspired by her sketches. Take a class with Rebecca on Creativebug, an online learning platform where you can watch how-to embroider. Click on the link to get a discount on Rebecca's classes.
