Bright, electric, hot pink is the color of the moment. It is the signature color of Planned Parenthood. And is the chosen color for the Pussy Hat Project. We are so excited that this project has received so much attention, and activated so many women to knit and to attend Women's marches around the country on January 21st. Wear this color is one way to state your commitment to women’s equality, health, and education.
Help women! We are inspired by this momentum and have dyed a special batch of hot pink yarn, to support organizations whose key goals have been and will continue to be to support women who have experienced homelessness, violence, addiction, or poverty - like the Oakland Elizabeth House, a residential transitional program for women with children. Organizations like this need our support, financially and through volunteer hours. Throughout the month of January, we will be donating 15% of our profits of this yarn to Oakland Elizabeth House and 15% of our profits to Planned Parenthood. Let's act locally and nationally.
Support women's equality, health, and education by helping to raise money for organizations who focus upon these key issues while supporting US wool and natural dyes. This skein of yarn is dyed with cochineal we collected in Oaxaca, Mexico, and is 100% American Wool and is spun in New England.
