Inyoung Kim designed Lucky Pieces for the newest issue of Pom Pom Quarterly - Issue 36.  Upon first seeing this vest, we were drawn to this unique and inventive garment, imagining all of the naturally dyed yarns we could use and immediately thought about putting a kit together! 

Lucky Pieces is worked from the bottom up with the entrelac technique, which consists of triangular and rectangular motifs. 

Each kit consists of AVFKW Flock in either Granite or Sunflower Seed as the main color along with a selection of minimum 9 colors of naturally dyed mini-skeins for the contrast color. Each kit will be unique.

Finished chest (fullest point) circumference: 90 (108, 126, 144, 162)cm / 35½ (42½, 49½, 56½, 63½)“ – to be worn with up to 10cm / 4” positive ease

Yarn: A Verb for Keeping Warm Flock, 100% California wool; 290 yds per 50 g sk

+ 3.75mm / US 5 knitting needles
knitting needles suitable for working small circumferences in the round

Stitch markers
+ Tapestry needles

22 sts & 30 rows = 10cm / 4” over St st on 3.75mm needles, after blocking.

This kit includes:
+ 3 (4, 4, 4, 5) skeins of A Verb for Keeping Warm Flock in either cool white and grey Granite or warm creamy ivory and brown Sunflower Seed (MC)
+ A selection of at least 9 colors of naturally dyed mini-skeins of Flock in 7 (10, 12, 16, 18) grams (CC) per mini-skein, depending on garment size selected. Each kit will be unique.
