Tapestry Weaving 101 with Ama Wertz - May 6th
Instructor: Ama Wertz
Catch weaver fever! In this class we'll learn simple but foundational tapestry techniques to make small woven wall hangings. We'll cover how to warp a frame loom, get started with plain weave, and create designs with color, shape, and texture.
This is a wonderful opportunity to learn from Bay Area weaver Ama Wertz! She will bring in plenty of samples of her own work and her favorite resources.
For true beginners and fiber enthusiasts! No weaving experience required.
* Ama recommends a small frame loom for class as it is quicker to warp. Verb carries Board & Bread black walnut looms which are perfect for a beginning weaver! We also stock larger looms, such as Schacht School Looms and Schacht Tapestry Looms. Come in or give us a call to learn more! 510.595.verb.
