Keeping It Simple and Doing It Well.

Merchant & Mills is here.
We've got scissors, notions, hand-sewing kits, and their sewing book, all beautifully utilitarian. Merchant & Mills is all about high-quality crafting tools that will last a lifetime, which is what we're all about, too. My favorite line from their website: "Nobody escapes the revolution." We're proud to be one of only a handful of retailers in North America to carry M&M.
New Year's resolve is still running strong here at Verb, with a massive re-organization in our dye studio, and some ambitious projects. Kristine asked me to be sure to include her dirty fingernails in that last photo, so you all could see how hard she's working to get gorgeous Verb colorways on the shelf.
What she's hand-sewing is a shibori project destined for the indigo pot. If you're following @avfkw on Twitter and Instagram, you already got a play-by-play of Kristine and Sarah's shibori adventures this week. In case you missed it, though...
Thanks for reading, and all the great comments. Next week we'll have more information about upcoming classes, Communknitty Stitch, and maybe even shots of my very first sewing project (wish me luck!). -HD
