Sock Hop Kit

Sock Hop is one of the many projects from Kristine's book, The Modern Natural Dyer. This kit is designed to make it easier for you to create Sock Hop. All materials have been pre-measured. This project is a great first foray into learning how to work with plant-based fibers by dyeing cotton socks. Brighten your winter wardrobe with some vibrant, colorful socks, or dye them for the holidays - they make a great gift!

Inside this kit:

• One pair of white organic cotton socks (approx. 64g)
• Scour
• Mordant
• Wheat bran
• Dye (madder, weld, or cochineal)
• Whisk

To complete project, you will need:

• The Modern Natural Dyer book
• 3-5 quart stainless steel pot 
• Measuring cup
• Tongs
• Thermometer 
• Gloves

To pick up your order at our shop, when checking out, under shipping method, choose Pick up at our Oakland store - 6328 San Pablo Ave.

You will receive an email when your order is ready. Orders placed Tuesday-Saturday are typically ready within 24 hours. To pick up your order, come to the shop between 11am - 3pm, Tuesday-Saturday. Knock on the front door and give us your name.
