Embroidery classes this weekend with Rebecca Ringquist

There are still plenty of spaces left in two upcoming classes with special guest teacher and artist, Rebecca Ringquist. Come learn new knot techniques and tricks, or how to transfer your own photography or poetry to cloth!

Rebecca was at Verb in April, when she taught her Embroidery Stitch Sampler class. The class was a big hit, with all of our tables packed with students. The projects in these photos were inspired by that class.

On Saturday, June 16th, Rebecca will teach Embroidered Drawings. In this class you will learn traditional line and mark stitch techniques, as well as how to transfer your own photo or text onto fabric in order to embroider it.

On Monday, June 18th, Rebecca will teach Embroidered Knots. She will teach many different ways to create twists, tangles, and decorative knots.

Both classes are suitable for beginners, and students with previous embroidery experience are also welcome and encouraged!
