Hey all! I just found this Ted Talk yesterday that was insanely surprising. The talk is called "Grow your own clothes", and being the crazy homesteading seamstress I am, it sounded like my dream come true! I definitely was not expecting this new natural fabric to be made out of one of the more controversial beverages around--Kombucha! Whether you love Kombucha, or absolutely despise it, the process of growing and drying out the "mother" to turn it into a 100% compostable cellulose fabric is pretty incredible. Check it out!
