The Brienne Cardigan is a special piece due to all of the lovely, unique details.

I love how Brienne incorporated two colors. I always find the addition of multiple colors, even just two, makes the knitting more exciting and motivating. Technically, stranded knitting aka colorwork is included in this project. But it is so straightforward and easy to complete, do not be intimidated. This would be a great first colorwork project!

Other sweet details include the shaped the collar (look at that lovely swoop), the double cuffs, the raised knit welt across the center of the back, and wait for it...pockets

Color Options
When selecting colors for our version, Team Verb was drawn to the subtle combination of grey Graphite and light blue Day Moon. However, there are many possibilites, keep scrolling to see others we love.

“Color is where my designs begin. This design uses contrasting colors in simple, but bold and unexpected ways. Using muted colorways will give the cardigan a playful, vintage feel. Whereas using some punchy neons will yield a modern statement piece, reminiscent of contemporary abstract paintings. The Brienne Cardigan is knitted from the cozy double cuff to the center in two pieces with some simple colorwork on one side, color-blocking on the other side and an exposed seam on the back. It’s got kicky pockets and an easy shape; inspired by retro bomber jackets.”

Katie's choice: Cottontail + Yucca Blossom
