Shipping policy

PROCESSING AND SHIPPING

All orders are processed within 5 business days after receiving your order confirmation email.

We ship packages Tuesday through Saturday. Once your package has shipped, you will receive a confirmation email.

To track the delivery status of your package, please use the tracking number provided and contact the shipping carrier directly with any questions about transit and delivery.

SHIPPING TIMES

Please be aware shipping delays may occur due to COVID-19. USPS and UPS are reporting delays in their services. International shipments are taking approximately two months to reach their destination. We caution against placing an order if you live outside the United States.

INSURANCE

We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged packages once the package has been picked up by the shipping carrier.

Please select the insured option at checkout if you would like to receive compensation for a lost package.

If you select an insured option and need to file a claim with USPS, we will provide you with any documentation you need to complete your claim. Your package will be insured for the package value.

If you select an uninsured option, we will not be able to help you file a claim with USPS. And we will not be responsible, offer refunds, or credits for lost packages.

If your package is stolen, you will need to contact your credit card company to receive any possible compensation. We are not responsible for stolen packages and will not issue refunds or credits.

Free shipping for all U.S. orders over $125. Pre-tax
Please see the table below for additional options that are available for U.S. orders over $125. pre-tax to expedite the processing and shipping times along with insurance options. The cost reflects shipping and handling.

Please note: If you choose the 5 business day option, your package will be processed within 5 business days of receiving your order. If you would like us to process your package sooner, please choose the 3 or 4 business day option.

US orders $125 pre-tax and above:

US orders under $125 pre-tax:
$9.00 - Ships in 5 business days, uninsured

*For packages weighing 2 pounds plus, we will invoice you for additional shipping charges. Contact us for a quote.

All packages shipped outside of the U.S. are shipped USPS First Class Parcel Post. 

Packages are shipped uninsured. We are not responsible for packages which are held in customs or lost.

United Kingdom

Due to the complicated VAT situation, we are unable to ship to the United Kingdom.
We apologize for this inconvenience.

Customs and Duties 

International orders may incur customs fees.
Each country has different parameters for customs fees and you may be charged by your local customs office.
We are not responsible for any fees you may incur.
We cannot mark packages as gifts or enter a lower value amount on customs forms.

Heavy Items

For all natural dyeing kits, books, and packages weighing 2 pounds plus, there will be additional charges to ship, as they are heavy. Please contact us for a quote. Thank you.

ADD-TO-ORDER

If you would like to add-to-order, please click here to review the instructions or contact us before placing your order. We cannot refund shipping charges.

CURBSIDE PICK-UP

To arrange to pick-up your order at our shop, when checking-out:
+ Under shipping method, choose Pick up at our Oakland store - 6328 San Pablo Ave. This will remove any shipping charges. (If you do not choose this option, and you are charged shipping, we will ship your items. We cannot refund your shipping charges.)
+ We will contact you to let you know that your order is ready for pick-up.
+ We work Tuesdays - Saturdays, 11am-3pm. If you order on one of these days, typically, we can have your order ready within 24 hours. Some items, such as natural dyeing products and kits, take longer to fulfill. More information about lead times are on individual product webpages. We will email you to let you know your order is ready for pick-up. 
+ To pick-up your order, come to the shop between 11am-3pm, and knock at the front door. Give us your name, and we will hand you your order.

PRE-ORDERS

+ If you have placed a pre-order with us, it will ship on the date we have listed.
+ If there are items you have ordered in addition to your pre-order, all items will be held and shipped with your pre-order. If you would like those items shipped separately, please create two separate orders.
