Annapurna is a perennial favorite at A Verb for Keeping Warm. People enjoy working with Annapurna because it is soft (merino + cashmere) and is available in a wide range of gorgeous naturally-dyed colors. Annapurna is a fingering weight yarn, with a nice round twist, so it picks up stitch definition beautifully and is an ideal yarn for shawls, cowls, and lightweight sweaters.

We are happy to now offer a palette of Annapurna in a smaller, mini skein. Use it for stripes, colorwork, and smaller projects.

All colors are created using natural materials such as roots, bark, leaves and dyed in our Oakland, California studio. Our palette is inspired by our local Northern California flora and fauna such as the Pacific Ocean, redwoods, and golden grasses.

Check out Tif Neilan's design, the Perennial Shawl. She uses one full skein of Annapurna with two mini skeins. Though we have put bundles together, it could be fun to create your own.

The same goes for Mary Jane Mucklestone's Peach Pit shawl!
