Browsing through these gorgeous sample garments has me pretty inspired. The crisp, drapey Lida Shawl in Quince Sparrow is the perfect quick lace project, and the recent heat spell has me dying to get my hands on a cool, lightweight linen like Sparrow.
But, the fog is never more than a few hours away, so for those still working with wool, there's the luxurious Reixa, made from two colors of Quince & Co. Chickadee.
The sample is made with Bird's Egg and Chanterelle. I love the look of mixing colors of similar saturation value, like these two. When chosen carefullly, low-contrast colors add even more softness and subtle interest to the all-over mesh. It got me thinking about other color combinations I'd love to see.

If you're less about softness and subtlety, and want something striking and modern, a bold combination like Peacoat and Honey could make the Reixa really pop, and turn it into an eye-catching statement.

I'd love to see Reixa adjusted and made with different weights of Quince wool, all the way up to Osprey or Puffin, for a really dramatic, squishy accessory.
