Cozy toes are a must for this time of year - and the Hibernation House Socks will help you keep your tootsies warm!
We are always looking for unique and interesting ways to combine the soft fuzzy textures of yarn found at Verb. And the Hibernation House Socks caught our attention due to the double knit, ultra squishy cuff, followed by the gentle broken rib texture playing across the top of the foot. The soft, wispy fluff of Wild Bloom adds the perfect coziness to plush Twist Nouveau for the cuff. Once the cuff is complete, Wild Bloom is set aside, and the foot is knit out of a single strand of Twist Nouveau. The combination of yarns and stitch pattern makes a project you will want to knit round after round.

Knit top-down, these socks are simple and sweet - by the time you've finished the cuff, you're already onto the heel, and then voila! This project is off the needles and you will be padding around the house, curled up, reading a book, drinking tea.
To create our sample, we used Verb's custom La Bien Aimée colorway, Day by the Bay, paired with Verb's Wild Bloom colorway Lucky Penny.

PATTERN
Please purchase the pattern directly from Lindsey on Ravelry.

Luxurious and exuberant as a field of wildflowers, Wild Bloom is a wispy yet substantial lace-weight yarn. The combination of baby alpaca, silk, merino, and yak fibers create an exceptionally soft halo that feels like a warm hug. Yak fiber is similar in softness to cashmere, while adding a uniquely airy quality to the yarn.
