At A Verb for Keeping Warm, we strive to bring you a well-rounded selection of classes and curriculum so you can learn anything and everything about making textiles - from how to spin your very own yarn in our Spinning 101 class, to knitting your own sweater in Cocoknits Sweater Workshop, or sewing your own garments in one of Tasa Gleason's fabulous Garment Construction classes. Our small class sizes and individual teacher attention result in an increase in one’s ability to create a professional looking sewn or knit garment.
We currently offer classes in spinning, knitting, quilting, sewing, natural dyeing, rigid heddle weaving, and tapestry weaving. We have two classrooms, one indoors used for knitting, sewing, and spinning, the other is located outdoors nestled in the midst of our educational dye garden. This is where we lead our natural dyeing classes.
Our classes are small and led by some of the best textile instructors in the area.
When not in use for class, our classroom can be rented and used as your own private studio.
We also hold many special events and trunk shows! Click here to learn more.
