Today (10/15/24) is the last day to sign up for the Pro-Verbial Yarn & Fiber Club!
Today we are featuring Rastus Hsu's work.
We've been following Rastus's work for some time and are so excited to work with him. Rastus is based in Taiwan. He grew up in his Mom's yarn shop, and as an adult began knitting finished objects, and eventually turned towards releasing the patterns. He is an enthusiastic knitter excelling in designing shawls and incorporating repetitive textures with a modern minimalist sensibility.

We originally created Pro-Verbial to raise the seed money to move from our tiny studio in Berkeley to our current space on San Pablo Avenue. The money raised from that first year of memberships allowed us to put in the gas and water for our current dye studio. Verb is a true grassroots business that we (Team Verb and the community) have built skein by skein, yard by yard. Every year when we open new memberships and celebrate a new year of designs, I am reminded of this. And we continue to use the profits of Pro-Verbial to supplement special projects that define Verb such as our dye garden and our work with California wool growers.
I am truly grateful to those of you who join the club, the designers who sign on with us, and the team at Verb who dye and process the club shipments. It is a true collaboration!
