La Bien Aimée x Amy Christoffers - Pressed Flowers Shawl Bundle

The Verb team has completed two Pressed Flower Shawls using this bundle!

Shawn was the first to dive in, used La Belle Epoque and Yellow Brick Road to create the radiant gold colored shawl pictured, and raved about knitting it. And, they have also been wearing it constantly. We consider that a successful knit!

Shawn chose to cast-off a bit early, wanting a smaller shawl, reminiscent of a bandana, and adding a sweet, potent pop of color! While keeping the chill at bay. Shawn knit 4 repeats of the flower pattern. And completed the border as instructed. One of the things Shawn loves about their shawl, is that due to the nature of LBA's combination of ever so gentle speckles and gradations of colors within a single skein, each flower is unique as you knit. This little jog and jump makes it feel like taking a hike through a field of wild flowers on a Spring morning.

Kristine, then dove in, using Amege and Liesl. She said this color combination reminds her of violet pansies at dusk, when the sky turns a rich, velvety shade of blue. She knit through as much of the skeins possible and was able to create a larger shawl measuring 25" deep x 60" wide. She knit 4.5 repeats of the flower pattern and the border before running out of the main color (Amege). If you would like to knit a larger piece, please purchase an additional skein of Amege or the main color of your choice.

Though Shawn and Kristine used less yarn then called for in the pattern, they both ended up with beautiful shawls, and these samples demonstrate the variety that can be achieved! Also, while LBA Merino Singles are quite a bit thinner than Amy's original piece, Shawn and Kristine used the same needle size as Amy calls for in the pattern and everything turned out well. This is a great combination for those who would like a lighter weight shawl.

La Bien Aimée Merino Singles are a soft single-ply superwash merino with a beautiful twist. This yarn takes color beautifully and has a crisp stitch definition. La Bien Aimée (LBA) yarns are absolute heaven to knit and to wear. Each skein is a jewel. The nuance in colors have to be seen with your own eyes to be believed. LBA was founded by Aimée Gille. All yarns are handdyed in Paris, France. Such a treat to offer these yarns to you!

Superwash Wool - Machine washable on cool cycle with pH neutral soap, though hand wash recommended. Lay flat to dry.

Wool and Wool blends - Handwash only in lukewarm water with pH neutral soap. Lay flat to dry.

All international orders are shipped uninsured USPS First Class Parcel Post. We are not responsible for packages which are held in customs or lost. International orders may incur customs fees. We are not responsible for fees you may incur. International shipments can take two months to reach their destination. We caution against placing an order if you live outside the United States. At this time, we are unable to ship to the United Kingdom due to the complicated VAT situation. 

Curbside Pick-Up
To pick up your order at our shop, when checking out, under shipping method, choose Pick up at our Oakland store - 6328 San Pablo Ave.

You will receive an email when your order is ready. Orders placed Tuesday-Saturday are typically ready within 2-3 hours. To pick up your order, come to the shop between 11am - 3pm, Tuesday-Saturday. Knock on the front door and give us your name. 

Pre-orders
Pre-orders will ship on the date listed on the product’s webpage. If you ordered additional items, all items will be shipped with your pre-order. If you would like those items shipped separately, please place two separate orders.
