The Stars in Your Hands Shawl by Inese Sang features La Bien Aimée Helix and Soyeux yarns.

Stars In Your Hands is an asymmetrical shawl worked sideways from tip with irregular side increases along its left edge. It has alternating sections knit in light fingering weight wool and mohair held together and single mohair strand held alone, resulting in an ethereal, translucent fabric. Shawl showcases three panels of different colourways achieved by changing mohair CC of the double strand knit sections.

La Bien Aimée (LBA) yarns are absolute heaven to knit and to wear. Each skein is a jewel. The nuance in colors have to be seen with your own eyes to be believed. LBA was founded by Aimée Gille. All yarns are handdyed in Paris, France. Such a treat to offer these yarns to you! 

The original Stars in Your Hands used Mohair Silk. La Bien Aimée is now offering Soyeux as their silk mohair yarn. This yarn will be as beautiful and knit up similarly.

The little sister to LBA's Mohair Silk, Soyeux is a little thicker and fluffier than Mohair Silk. It is incredibly soft and offers a stunning halo. A traditional laceweight with 420m (459 yds) for 50g skein, Soyeux is made of 64% Kid Mohair and 36% Silk. The Kid Mohair makes Soyeux extremely soft and adds a beautiful fluffy texture.

Helix, a light and lofty yarn base, is exclusively spun for La Bien Aimée. This light fingering weight yarn combines high-quality Falkland Merino with the unique Gotland wool fiber. Gotland wool is known for its wonderful luster and slight halo, reminiscent of mohair. This light-grey fiber mixed with the bright white merino gives the Helix yarn an incredible sheen and depth of color.

Cotton or linen - Machine washable on cool cycle with pH neutral soap. Lay flat to dry.

Superwash Wool - Machine washable on cool cycle with pH neutral soap, though hand wash recommended. Lay flat to dry.

Wool and Wool blends - Handwash only in lukewarm water with pH neutral soap. Lay flat to dry.

Yarn that has been pre-ordered and / or purchased can be exchanged
within 45 days from when we contact you to pick it up (for curbside pickup) or from the day that we ship it for store credit only (less any shipping costs) as long as it is in its original condition (ball band in place). All international orders are shipped uninsured USPS First Class Parcel Post. We are not responsible for packages which are held in customs or lost. International orders may incur customs fees. We are not responsible for fees you may incur. International shipments can take two months to reach their destination. We caution against placing an order if you live outside the United States. At this time, we are unable to ship to the United Kingdom due to the complicated VAT situation. 

Curbside Pick-Up
To pick up your order at our shop, when checking out, under shipping method, choose Pick up at our Oakland store - 6328 San Pablo Ave.

You will receive an email when your order is ready. Orders placed Tuesday-Saturday are typically ready within 2-3 hours. To pick up your order, come to the shop between 11am - 3pm, Tuesday-Saturday. Knock on the front door and give us your name. 

Pre-orders
Pre-orders will ship on the date listed on the product’s webpage. If you ordered additional items, all items will be shipped with your pre-order. If you would like those items shipped separately, please place two separate orders.
