The Bay Area Yarn Crawl is coming up!
March 13-23, 2026

To celebrate we have created our own Bay Area Yarn Crawl Bundle!

This year’s Bay Area Yarn Crawl bundle is inspired for our love of local bay area mushrooms!

To destress and rejuvenate, Adrienne and I often head for the hills in the Winter and are treated to gorgeous vignettes of trees, mushroom, lichen, and leaves dappled with light and a touch of fog. The dogs love it too! We can spend hours, sometimes only going a few feet at a time, as I we pass from one mushroom microcosm to the next. Included are photos highlighting some of the textures and color combinations seen on our hikes.

Once again, we are collaborating with Cecelia Campochiaro for this year’s pattern and it is included in the bundle!

The pattern is a surprise but here are a few details:
+ The pattern will be a small triangular shaped scarf similar in size to Winterview
+ The pattern is designed to use the five 20g skeins of Floating included in this bundle.

Let's take a closer peek at this year's palettes...

We have created three palettes for you that are designed especially for Cecelia's new design and are inspired by the colors found in our local redwood forests and the mushrooms found there. All three palettes include the 2026 Bay Area Yarn Crawl colorway which has been dyed with one of our favorite, local mushrooms: Pisolithus tinctoria.

The three palettes are:

Entering the Forest -- those first few moments, when you have entered the forest and you are surrounded by trees, their roots, bark, branches, and leaves. The trees reach far into the sky, their sweeping canopy nearly covering the sky and creating deep shadows. As your eyes adjust, you can start making out little mushrooms poking from under the dried leaves or along the tree's bark. As you come closer, you can see the small details like fur and stripes. This palette includes greens and a touch of lavender.

The Feeling of When You Find a Mushroom -- is an extra special moment when the world falls away and your entire focus is on seeing this otherworldly specimen which brings so much delight and wonder. Often times, multiple types of mushrooms grow near one another, so you can almost be assured that as your eye travels up, down, left, and right, there will be more textures, shapes, and colors to enjoy.  In this palette, you will find clear, light green, coral with flecks of pure yellow, ochre, and an ethereal purple- grey.

Exiting the Forest - and then, inevitably, the sun begins to dip behind the trees and the forest grows darker. It is time to head back to the car, photos of mushrooms in hand, to go home, to cook and enjoy a meal and reminisce about the day's adventure. A new steel-blue color, shadowy purples dark and light, as well as warm rust can be found in this palette.

For those of you who love all three palettes:
we have created a deluxe option that includes all of them!
