Stitch Exchange: Verb + Westknits Mystery KAL 2013

Posted by Kristine Vejar on August 30, 2013 0 Comments

On Friday, September 13th, Stephen West will release the first clue to his 2013 Mystery Shawl. Have you found your perfect yarn / color combination?

Many people have asked for recommendations of yarn and color options in Verb yarn - so here you go!

First a collection of colors on Annapurna, our superwash merino / nylon / cashmere blend...

Jade - The Sound of Cicadas - Celery

Supernova - Thai Iced Tea - Hemlock

Supernova - Indigo Blue Sky - Hawk's Feather

Next, we have a collection of colors on our alpaca / cashmere / silk base, Floating.

Hazelnut - Hawk's Feather - The Sound of Cicadas

Transnational Fury - The Sound of Cicadas - Supernova

Indigo Blue Sky - Jade - Supernova

Most of these colors are available on our online store. The one exception is Celery, a new colorway. At the shop, we are happy to help take your order over the phone or via email if you see a colorway here that is not listed in our shop.

In other news, our monthly newsletter, The Verbivore, is going out shortly. As always, it is packed full of information on upcoming trunk shows (Fibre Co and Brooklyn Tweed's Mens / Fall 2013 collections), visiting teachers (like numbers wizard, JC Briar), sales, and a new class schedule full of learning opportunities.

Our yearly yarn and fiber club, The Pro-Verbial, is open for memberships. As a club member you receive 4 shipments of yarn (or fiber) and a shawl pattern. This year our designers include Bristol Ivy, Carrie Sullivan, Laura Nelkin, and Olga Buraya-Kefelian Each of the designers has her own distinct style, and will be creating patterns exclusively for the club, which will make for a fun year of exploring. I'm excited to get in the dye studio and to make new colors for the club! Oh! And club members get 10% for the year on all products purchased at Verb. Click here to learn more.

We are open Labor Day - so stop by and soak up a bit of extra time with the array of colors and textures we have in the forms of fabric and yarn on this long holiday weekend.
