Kristine just completed Swoop by Romi Hill using Floating in the colorway Josephine and Michelle and Frond in the (new) colorway Meringue. So incredibly light and ethereal, this piece is gorgeous and very fun to knit - each time a little pop of color appears it's like a little bump of serotonin - like seeing a field of flowers. There are four colorful options - two of which include our new Summer Solstice 2022 colorway: Sun Day!

Cast on along the left edge, this striped shawl forms a wing shape by building one wedge upon another. Lace inserts are written so that you never have to break yarn or carry a long piece of your second color along the edge. Magic! The shawl is bound off with a reverse stockinette stitch i-cord which provides a strong edge while blending in perfectly to the garter stitch of the shawl. Overall, Swoop is a fantastically relaxing knit! - Romi Hill

When working with yarn dyed with indigo, it is common and natural for the blue dye to rub off on one’s hands while sewing. This is called crocking. Although the goods have been washed, it takes pressured contact to release the extra indigo dye. Your handwork is part of the indigo dyeing process. The blue dye can be removed with hot water and soap. From working closely with indigo dyed materials through the making process, typically, the excess dye has been removed, and the crocking will cease.
