Beatriz knitting pattern by CocoKnits is designed with wide, dropped shoulders, which are created using decorative, cabled increases. This adds a sweet, subtle detail to the back shoulders of the sweater. It also features deep ribbing on the hem of the body and sleeves and a wide, ribbed button band.
The silhouette is oversized; it’s up to you HOW oversized! Choose anywhere from 4"/2.5cm to 16"/10cm ease. In the photos, the model has around 8" / 20 cm of positive ease. Julie of Cocoknits wears hers with 14" / 35.5 cm of positive ease. Are you aiming for a coat type cardigan that fits over everything? Go with more ease! Or do you want a closer fitting cardigan? Or something in between? Try measuring some similar items in your wardrobe to help inform the size you’ll knit... and then dive in!

Kristine, the co-owner of Verb, knit her sweater out of Bread & Butter Everyday. She added little flecks of fluffy Frond sporadically throughout her sweater.
The combination of Everyday and Frond is a match made in heaven. Everyday is made of soft U.S. Merino wool. Each color is blended prior to spinning creating a heathered, gorgeous yarn. Frond is a radiant beam of halo and glow, due to its content of mohair and silk. Light as a cloud, with a fluffy halo of mohair surrounding a strong silk core.
We created a limited number of special bundles for this 2025 KAL including the Frond bonbons. There are two options of colorways: rich green Deep Valley paired with cool tones of neutrals, greens, and blues and dark brown Porcini paired with warm tones of mauve, pink, and bright speckles of orangey-yellow.
THIS BUNDLE INCLUDES
Everyday by Bread & Butter Yarn, 100% U.S. Merino wool; 200 yd / 183 m per 100g skein 5 (5, 6, 7) (7, 8, 8) (9, 10, 10) skeins

CROCKING
When working with yarn dyed with indigo and with medium to dark shades of natural dyes (especially on slick fibers like mohair), it is common and natural for the dye to rub off on one’s hands while making. This is called crocking. Although the goods have been washed, it takes pressured contact to release the extra dye. Your handwork is part of the dyeing process. The dye can be removed with hot water and soap. From working closely with dyed materials through the making process, typically, the excess dye has been removed, and the crocking will cease.
~~~
ALWAYS use pH-neutral soap when blocking and washing natural dyes.
Please note the fiber content of the material you are working with, and follow the applicable instructions:
Cotton or linen - Machine washable on cool cycle. Lay flat to dry.
Superwash Wool - Machine washable on cool cycle, though hand wash recommended. Lay flat to dry.
Wool and Wool blends - Handwash only in lukewarm water. Lay flat to dry.
