Indigo Dye a Sweater Quantity of Pretzel DK-weight Yarn - Saturday, January 24 2026
Size
Instructor: Kristine Vejar
Let’s indigo dye a sweater's quantity of yarn together! It feels great to dye and knit your own garment. This is a wonderful class for the intrepid maker who wants to bring their practice to new heights.
You will prep, dye, and wash your sweater quantity of Pretzel DK-weight yarn using the Verb dye studio. To do so, be prepared to lift 20 pounds and to work outdoors and indoors.
Pretzel is made of 100% U.S. Merino wool and milled in the U.S.
Please note: we will be dyeing on the Cottontail colorway. This is a beautiful, heathered light brown color. When dipped into the indigo vat, and creating lighter shades, it is possible to achieve a blue color with slight steely turquoise undertones. You can see an example of how cottontail looks dipped in the indigo vat in the photos listed. Julie is wearing a sweater where she dyed cottontail and knit it into a Jane pullover. If you would prefer a more sapphire blue color, then plan to create a darker blue color. (Pretzel is not currently available in Soft Serve. And we received so many requests of this color when Julie knit her sweater. So now here is your chance to have this color as part of your wardrobe!)
