SELECTING A SIZE
Choose your current, favorite comfy sweatshirt from your wardrobe and measure.
The sweater is modeled with approximately 5-7" of ease.
My full chest is 38". I am knitting a slightly more close-fitting Tracy and have chosen the size 40".

Well. I went back and forth thinking about custom alterations to my Tracy.
If you've been knitting along with me the last few years, you know I have a tendency to zhuzh things up a bit. I'll add bits and bobs of Frond or even indigo dye Bread & Butter for my sweater. So this year, I considered adding stripes or knitting the sleeves a different color. (All of which I think would be very cute!)
But at the end of the day, I am so deeply craving a deep black-blue Inkwell Tracy. Though Julie has admitted she does not wear a hoodie, I have a deep, abiding love for hoodies and I am so excited for this pattern.
So the one little extra oomph I am going to add to my Tracy is an I-cord drawstring, which I will thread through the hood, made of fluffy Wild Bloom in Quartz. Otherwise, I am looking forward to the simplicity of knitting with a single yarn in a single color. And focusing on the technique. I have never knit a hood! And though I am feeling a bit daunted by the front pocket, one stitch at a time, I will do it. And share my experience, tips, and tricks!

So join us! And knit a beautiful new garment!
