A comfy, quick-knit peplum cardigan named after style icon Gillian Anderson brings the drama and structure of a gored peplum that increases over several rows. The subtle waist shaping creates a comfortable but universally flattering silhouette worn over anything from dresses and skirts to jeans and t-shirts.
(If you want a more subtle version of the peplum, Julie has included those instructions as well in the pattern. )
Julie chose bread & butter Bun to knit the sample shown. The color she chose is Long Shadows; a gorgeous, moody shade of purple made by combining dark brown and blue fibers. All of the colors in the bread & butter line are made from multiple colors giving nuance and depth to each shade. Long Shadows is perfect for those who wear a lot of neutrals but want to add just a touch of color to their wardrobe. There are 15 other colors to choose from if you would like a different hue.
Bun is made from U.S. Merino wool and is so soft. It is a chunky weight yarn and this sweater is knit on size US 11 needles. So it will be on and off the needles in a flash!
