We are so excited to welcome Sasha Hyre as a designer in Year 15 of our Pro-Verbial Club.

Sasha joins us from Montreal, Canada. Recently, she traveled to the gorgeous tropical environment of Jamaica, where she presented her collection of warm-weather friendly designs. This collection, named Island Vibes was photographed and published as a book by Laine.

Laine writes:

"Sasha Hyre is known for her versatile designs that combine colours and textures, and her work has been featured in several knitting magazines and books. Island Vibes is not only a celebration of her Jamaican heritage but also a tribute to the meditative and relaxing power of knitting."

We love how Sasha uses subtle details in her work, like in the pink shawl shown above. Where there are multiple textures and a gentle shift in color. We personally love the beach and warm weather, so we are captivated by the Island Vibes collection.

Naturally, living in Canada, Sasha also designs for cold weather! To see an example of a fluffy shawl to wear when the weather is chilly, check out her Split Leaf Shawl

In addition to the club design, we also have a fun collaboration coming out with Sasha later this year!

You can see examples of Sasha's work on Ravelry and her website
